She dialogues on the past experiences such as the reason for becoming a pharmacist and the process of linking her experiences as a pharmacist to AfriMedico’s activities.

Machii’s positive interpretation of her parents’ fierce opposition on her participation in Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer as “Fumie* (loyalty test)”.
(Fumie* means an engraving of the Christ’s crucifix used during the Edo Period to identify adherents of Christianity by having them step on it)
